World Series Dahlias – Imported “Unicorn” Dahlia Tubers

Meet the World Series Dahlias – a special collection of imported varieties that haven’t yet been grown out in our own fields, but were just too tempting not to share. These are the dahlia tubers you hunt for when you want something rare, different, and a little bit thrilling.

Each listing in this collection is for one single-division dahlia tuber, not a gnarly pot-tuber clump. Many imported dahlias are sold as tiny, beat-up clumps with broken necks; we take the extra time to separate, clean, and inspect each division so you’re starting with a stronger piece of planting stock for your dahlia garden, cut flower patch, or cottage garden.

Eefje

Dahlia Eefje is a charming little showoff with rich raspberry red petals, a delicate pink collar, and a bright golden yellow center that practically glows! This eye catching collarette dahlia features a beautiful ring of broad, velvety outer petals surrounding smaller, ruffled pink petals that give each bloom a playful, layered look. The contrast of deep maroon tones, soft pink, and sunny yellow makes Eefje anything but ordinary.

With blooms reaching approximately 5 inches across and plants growing around 3 feet tall, Eefje brings gorgeous color and personality to garden beds and fresh flower arrangements. Its open centered blooms are especially lovely in garden settings, while the unusual petal formation adds something unexpected to mixed bouquets. Sweet, sassy, and just a little dramatic, Eefje knows how to stand out in a crowd!

How To Plant Dahlias

To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on.

Customer Conduct Policy

We’re all about respectful and constructive communication—it’s how we ensure a positive experience for everyone in our growing community. If you have feedback or concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly. We’re here to help, and we take pride in finding solutions that work.

That said, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or void guarantees if a customer engages in disrespectful behavior. Over the years, we’ve seen too many growers face devastating challenges because of impatient or unfair actions, like airing complaints publicly on social media before giving the business a chance to address them.

Here’s the deal: If customer service matters are taken public before we’ve had a chance to help, we may choose to walk away and void guarantees. Likewise, if we see posts that are intentionally damaging or rude behavior toward other growers in the community, we reserve the right to decline your orders altogether.

We’re all in this together, so let’s keep it kind, constructive, and focused on growing beautiful things. 🌱

Grow & Care

Dahlias are tender perennials, vigorous and fast growing. Dahlia tubers must be lifted for the winter from the ground in zones 7 and lower.

Planting:

Dahlias require soil that drains freely. Clay soil should be amended. Planting in raised beds can help alleviate moisture concerns. Tuber loss due to moisture rot is the leading cause for plant loss.

Plant 6" deep. Dig hole at least twice the width of your tuber to reduce soil compaction.

Label and stake your Dahlia at planting. Tubers do not need to be watered unless you are dealing with especially dry conditions. Whatever Mother Nature provides will be enough.

Care:

When Dahlias reach 10-12", the center tip should be pinched. This will create a bushier plan and yield more blooms. Without pinching, the plant will grow one tall, thick central stalk.

Your Dahlias will bloom from mid-summer until frost. Keep spent blooms trimmed and you'll enjoy repeat blooms all season long.
