Add soft, romantic color and exceptional texture to your garden with Spiraea Magical Pink Innocence, a unique flowering shrub prized for its delicate pale pink blooms, rounded flower buds, and strong, upright stems. Unlike traditional spirea varieties, Magical Pink Innocence produces airy clusters of tiny flowers that create a beautiful, cloud-like effect in garden beds and fresh floral arrangements.
Developed for the specialty cut flower market, this distinctive spirea is especially valuable for flower farmers, floral designers, and gardeners seeking unusual perennial cut flowers. Its straight, sturdy branches are topped with clusters of spherical green and pink buds that gradually open into soft blush-pink blossoms, sometimes fading to creamy white in warmer weather.
Blooming in early summer, Magical Pink Innocence offers a graceful alternative to traditional filler flowers, adding movement, volume, and delicate texture to wedding bouquets, garden-style arrangements, and seasonal floral designs.

Growing Tips
Planting: Plant bare roots in spring as soon as the soil is workable. Position roots naturally in the planting hole, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Maintain consistent moisture while plants establish.
Sunlight: Choose a location receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight daily for the strongest stems and most abundant flowering.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist during the first growing season. Established plants tolerate some dry periods but produce better flowers with consistent moisture.
Soil: Magical Pink Innocence adapts to a range of garden soils but prefers fertile, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH. Avoid prolonged standing water.
Pruning: Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage healthy new growth. Avoid heavy late-season pruning that could reduce the following year's flowers.
Winter Care: Hardy to USDA Zone 4, this deciduous shrub returns reliably each spring in suitable growing conditions.
Growing Magical Pink Innocence for Cut Flowers
Magical Pink Innocence is an exciting addition to specialty cut flower farms thanks to its productive growth habit and unusual floral texture.
For the best vase performance, harvest when the flowers at the tips of the branches have begun opening but most of the rounded buds remain closed. This stage provides a beautiful combination of delicate flowers and sculptural buds.
Plants become increasingly productive as they mature, with established shrubs capable of producing approximately 15-25 harvestable stems annually under favorable conditions. A second harvest may be possible in some growing regions.
Why Grow Magical Pink Innocence?
With its soft pink flowers, strong cutting stems, manageable size, and exceptional cold hardiness, Magical Pink Innocence offers the perfect combination of landscape beauty and specialty cut flower production. Whether you're creating romantic floral arrangements or adding an unusual flowering shrub to your garden, this distinctive spirea is a standout choice.

Caring for Your Bare-Root Plants
Your bare-root plants will be waking from dormancy and ready to grow when they arrive. For best results, plant them as soon as possible.
If you cannot plant immediately, store your bare-root plants in a cool, frost-free location to slow new growth. Do not allow them to freeze or dry out.
You may plant directly into prepared garden soil or temporarily pot them into 1-gallon containers. We recommend planting within a few days of arrival, as bare-root plants can decline quickly without proper soil, moisture, and growing conditions.
Plant Royalties & Propagation
The purchase price includes a plant royalty of $1.35–$1.49 per plant. These varieties are protected, and unauthorized propagation is prohibited.
