ABOUT THE HAIRPIN HOLDER

Originally named the "Blue Ribbon Flower Holder", the Hairpin Flower Holder has been a popular flower frog since its invention in 1936. You can read the full history here. This flower frog is unique because it features looped pins instead of sharp nails making it easier to design with for beginners and experienced floral creatives.

Each Hairpin Flower Holder is handcrafted by Floral Genius, which makes them using the same equipment from the original inventor! All of the Hairpin Flower holders are hand-set and inspected for total quality. Some of the Hairpin Flower Holders may arrive with a small bit of paint missing from one of the looped pins. This is because each hairpin holder is carefully dipped in paint and hung to dry to achieve a perfect finish. The small bit of brass pin that is exposed won't affect the durability of the flower holder.

The Floral Genius pin holders are constructed with a lead base and brass pins. These durable metals will never rust and offer a stable base for heavier arrangements. While all painted pin holders offer a barrier, unpainted products will have an exposed lead base. Though this small amount of exposure is harmless, we do recommend that you use caution, and wash your hands after handling the unpainted holders. Always avoid contact with your mouth while handling unpainted products.
