Achillea Yarrow, Magical Atlanta

The Magical Series Achillea is a perennial yarrow bred specifically with cut-flower production in mind. Developed by Kolster Breeding in the Netherlands in collaboration with Danziger, this series combines the toughness and productivity of Achillea with tall, strong stems, upright growth, and excellent vase life.

Plants establish into productive perennial clumps that return year after year, making them an excellent choice for cutting gardens and flower farms. Stems are naturally sturdy and generally do not require support netting, even when grown for cutting.

Available in a range of straight colors, the Magical Series makes it easy to grow larger blocks of individual colors rather than relying on mixed-color seed strains.

Fall planting allows plants to establish before winter for a strong flush of stems the following summer. Spring planting is also suitable, although first-year production may vary depending on planting date and growing conditions.

For cutting, harvest when the flower clusters are well developed and most individual florets are open. Achillea has an excellent vase life and also dries beautifully, making it useful for both fresh and everlasting arrangements.
