Pansy ‘Flamenco’ Mix
Flamenco pansies, Viola × wittrockiana, are anything but ordinary pansies. Known for their large, dramatically ruffled blooms, the series includes double and semi double flowers in rich terracotta shades, rosy tones, apricot, lilac, cream, and other wonderfully nuanced colors.
Their upright growth also makes Flamenco pansies especially interesting for cut flower gardeners. With the right growing conditions, plants can produce longer stems that bring all that ruffled texture into bouquets and arrangements.
Like other pansies, Flamenco thrives during the cooler parts of the growing season. It can provide beautiful color in fall, winter, or spring depending on your climate, then tends to fade as summer heat arrives. For gardeners who love unusual flowers, this is a pansy with considerably more personality than the standard garden center six pack.
