Hansestadt Rostock Floribunda Rose
An award winner in sunset shades
What you'll get: 1 bare root rose, shipped dormant for the 2027 season
Hansestadt Rostock rose was named Rose of the Year 2020 by the German Rose Society, and one look explains why. Very full amber to apricot blooms show up in tight clusters and hang around for ages.
This bare root floribunda rose stays compact and rounded, about 20 to 31 inches tall, so she is perfect for pots, edging, and front of the border spots. She fills out fast, often in her first season. She is grafted on Dr. Huey rootstock and grown by Francis Roses, which helps explain that fast start.
The fragrance is light and sweet. Snip a cluster and you have an instant cut flower rose arrangement in warm sunset colors.
Full sun is best, though she can handle a bit of partial shade. Glossy fresh green leaves and solid disease resistance make her an easy keeper.
