Emma Woodhouse™ Garden Rose
Color-shifting blooms with major main-character energy
What you’ll get: #1 Bare Root Grafted
Root stock: Cal Davis Dr. Huey
Emma Woodhouse doesn’t do subtle — and that’s kind of the point. This rose shows off big, peony-style blooms that change with the weather: soft cream-pink in cool temps, shifting to a warm orange-apricot as things heat up. It’s like mood jewelry, but prettier and with fewer bad decisions.
The cupped, ruffled blooms are lush and romantic, and the fragrance? Loud and proud. You’ll get a bold hit of fruit layered with gentle tea notes — strong enough to notice, refined enough to love.
With a tidy habit (about 4.5 ft tall by 3 ft wide), Emma fits beautifully into mixed borders or cutting gardens. Grafted for strength, she performs best in full sun and well-drained soil — any type will do, just don’t drown her.
She’s not a diva, but she’s no low-maintenance wallflower either. A little pruning, pest monitoring, and regular feeding go a long way.
