World Series Dahlias – Imported “Unicorn” Dahlia Tubers

Meet the World Series Dahlias – a special collection of imported varieties that haven’t yet been grown out in our own fields, but were just too tempting not to share. These are the dahlia tubers you hunt for when you want something rare, different, and a little bit thrilling.

Each listing in this collection is for one single-division dahlia tuber, not a gnarly pot-tuber clump. Many imported dahlias are sold as tiny, beat-up clumps with broken necks; we take the extra time to separate, clean, and inspect each division so you’re starting with a stronger piece of planting stock for your dahlia garden, cut flower patch, or cottage garden.

What Makes World Series Dahlias Different

  • Imported, not yet field-tested here
These dahlias come from overseas sources and have not yet been bloom-confirmed in our own fields. You’re getting in on the excitement early, before they’re widely available.

  • Single division tubers – not pot clumps
You’ll receive one single division tuber, hand-selected rather than a rough, pot-grown clump. This gives you a cleaner start and makes it easier to inspect and plant.

  • Hand-inspected for 6 weeks
Tubers are isolated and monitored for at least 6 weeks prior to shipping. During this time, they are hand-inspected for signs of crown gall or other obvious issues.

  • Covered by our plant satisfaction guarantee
While we cannot promise these tubers are completely disease-free, all parts of our plant satisfaction guarantee apply to the World Series collection.

  • Not bloom-confirmed – small chance of mislabel
Because these have not been grown and verified in our own fields, there is a chance of mislabel. By purchasing from this collection, you agree that you’re comfortable with that risk in exchange for a discounted “unicorn” dahlia that may be hard to find elsewhere.

Please Read Before Purchasing

Customer Conduct Policy

We’re all about respectful and constructive communication—it’s how we ensure a positive experience for everyone in our growing community. If you have feedback or concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly. We’re here to help, and we take pride in finding solutions that work.

That said, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or void guarantees if a customer engages in disrespectful behavior. Over the years, we’ve seen too many growers face devastating challenges because of impatient or unfair actions, like airing complaints publicly on social media before giving the business a chance to address them.

Here’s the deal: If customer service matters are taken public before we’ve had a chance to help, we may choose to walk away and void guarantees. Likewise, if we see posts that are intentionally damaging or rude behavior toward other growers in the community, we reserve the right to decline your orders altogether.

We’re all in this together, so let’s keep it kind, constructive, and focused on growing beautiful things. 🌱

Grow & Care

Dahlias are tender perennials, vigorous and fast growing. Dahlia tubers must be lifted for the winter from the ground in zones 7 and lower.

Planting:

Dahlias require soil that drains freely. Clay soil should be amended. Planting in raised beds can help alleviate moisture concerns. Tuber loss due to moisture rot is the leading cause for plant loss.

Plant 6" deep. Dig hole at least twice the width of your tuber to reduce soil compaction.

Label and stake your Dahlia at planting. Tubers do not need to be watered unless you are dealing with especially dry conditions. Whatever Mother Nature provides will be enough.

Care:

When Dahlias reach 10-12", the center tip should be pinched. This will create a bushier plan and yield more blooms. Without pinching, the plant will grow one tall, thick central stalk.

Your Dahlias will bloom from mid-summer until frost. Keep spent blooms trimmed and you'll enjoy repeat blooms all season long.
