Cryfield Harmony Dahlia

Cryfield Harmony is a standout formal decorative dahlia known for its glowing magenta and raspberry tones that seem to shine in the garden. Introduced in 2008, this compact variety produces perfectly formed blooms with a luminous quality that often draws comparisons to stained glass.

Each flower opens in rich berry shades ranging from deep magenta to neon raspberry, with subtle eggplant-colored eyes that give the blooms depth and contrast. The tight, symmetrical petals create classic formal decorative form, making Cryfield Harmony a favorite among cut flower growers and home gardeners alike.

Plants grow to about 3–4 feet tall and produce an abundance of blooms on long, strong stems, making this variety an excellent choice for bouquets and market arrangements. The consistent bloom size and reliable productivity make it a true workhorse in the cutting garden.

Whether planted in garden beds, cutting rows, or large patio containers, Cryfield Harmony delivers vivid color throughout the season and mixes beautifully with both pastel and jewel-toned flowers.

Customer Conduct Policy

We’re all about respectful and constructive communication—it’s how we ensure a positive experience for everyone in our growing community. If you have feedback or concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly. We’re here to help, and we take pride in finding solutions that work.

That said, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or void guarantees if a customer engages in disrespectful behavior. Over the years, we’ve seen too many growers face devastating challenges because of impatient or unfair actions, like airing complaints publicly on social media before giving the business a chance to address them.

Here’s the deal: If customer service matters are taken public before we’ve had a chance to help, we may choose to walk away and void guarantees. Likewise, if we see posts that are intentionally damaging or rude behavior toward other growers in the community, we reserve the right to decline your orders altogether.

We’re all in this together, so let’s keep it kind, constructive, and focused on growing beautiful things. 🌱

Grow & Care

Dahlias are tender perennials, vigorous and fast growing. Dahlia tubers must be lifted for the winter from the ground in zones 7 and lower.

Planting:

Dahlias require soil that drains freely. Clay soil should be amended. Planting in raised beds can help alleviate moisture concerns. Tuber loss due to moisture rot is the leading cause for plant loss.

Plant 6" deep. Dig hole at least twice the width of your tuber to reduce soil compaction.

Label and stake your Dahlia at planting. Tubers do not need to be watered unless you are dealing with especially dry conditions. Whatever Mother Nature provides will be enough.

Care:

When Dahlias reach 10-12", the center tip should be pinched. This will create a bushier plan and yield more blooms. Without pinching, the plant will grow one tall, thick central stalk.

Your Dahlias will bloom from mid-summer until frost. Keep spent blooms trimmed and you'll enjoy repeat blooms all season long.
