If you love sherbet-tinted dahlias, ‘Apricona’ is a must-grow. This small decorative dahlia glows in golden apricot and soft yellow shades, giving your dahlia garden that warm summer sunset feel from the moment it starts to bloom.

With a tidy, upright structure, ‘Apricona’ produces a steady stream of 6" blooms that are easy to cut and arrange. The plant has a naturally clean habit, so it looks just as good in the garden as it does in a vase on your kitchen table.

Dahlias love to be cut, and Apricona really responds to regular harvesting. The more stems you take for bouquets, the more blooms it sends up—making it a great choice for anyone growing a cut flower garden, small flower farm, or backyard cottage garden. Its form and balance also make it a potential exhibition contender if you like to show blooms or just enjoy that “show bench” look in your own yard.

If you’re shopping dahlia tubers and want something reliable, productive, and easy to work into mixed arrangements, ‘Apricona’ is a beautiful option in the dahlias for sale lineup.

Customer Conduct Policy

We’re all about respectful and constructive communication—it’s how we ensure a positive experience for everyone in our growing community. If you have feedback or concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly. We’re here to help, and we take pride in finding solutions that work.

That said, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or void guarantees if a customer engages in disrespectful behavior. Over the years, we’ve seen too many growers face devastating challenges because of impatient or unfair actions, like airing complaints publicly on social media before giving the business a chance to address them.

Here’s the deal: If customer service matters are taken public before we’ve had a chance to help, we may choose to walk away and void guarantees. Likewise, if we see posts that are intentionally damaging or rude behavior toward other growers in the community, we reserve the right to decline your orders altogether.

We’re all in this together, so let’s keep it kind, constructive, and focused on growing beautiful things. 🌱

Grow & Care

Dahlias are tender perennials, vigorous and fast growing. Dahlia tubers must be lifted for the winter from the ground in zones 7 and lower.

Planting:

Dahlias require soil that drains freely. Clay soil should be amended. Planting in raised beds can help alleviate moisture concerns. Tuber loss due to moisture rot is the leading cause for plant loss.

Plant 6" deep. Dig hole at least twice the width of your tuber to reduce soil compaction.

Label and stake your Dahlia at planting. Tubers do not need to be watered unless you are dealing with especially dry conditions. Whatever Mother Nature provides will be enough.

Care:

When Dahlias reach 10-12", the center tip should be pinched. This will create a bushier plan and yield more blooms. Without pinching, the plant will grow one tall, thick central stalk.

Your Dahlias will bloom from mid-summer until frost. Keep spent blooms trimmed and you'll enjoy repeat blooms all season long.
