Why Terracotta Dahlia is a Farm Favorite
Warm Amber Beauty:
Terracotta’s blooms glow in warm, butterscotch-toned amber that feels both earthy and awesome. Its semi-cactus form, with 4”-5” blooms and softly furling petals, adds incredible texture to any arrangement. The dusky rose centers offer just enough contrast to make it a perfect match for creamy peach and bronze dahlias.
Strong, Vigorous, and Unstoppable:
Terracotta is a true workhorse in the garden. With long, sturdy stems and impressive productivity, it’s one of our most vigorous growers—both above and below the soil. Reaching 6 feet tall, this dahlia produces a steady stream of blooms throughout the season, even with heavy cutting.
A Staple for Farmers and Florists:
With its stunning color, reliable growth, and endless blooms, Terracotta is a must-grow for anyone who loves dahlias. Its strong stems and warm tones make it a standout in bouquets and arrangements, and its productivity ensures you’ll always have plenty to share or enjoy. Simply put, we wouldn’t farm without it—and once you grow it, you’ll see why.
Plant it. Cut it. Make it a centerpiece in your garden or designs. 🍂🌸
Terracotta is a favorite with Floret (according to the library. See what Erin has to say about this dahlia!

Customer Conduct Policy
Customer Conduct Policy
We’re all about respectful and constructive communication—it’s how we ensure a positive experience for everyone in our growing community. If you have feedback or concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly and fairly. We’re here to help, and we take pride in finding solutions that work.
That said, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or void guarantees if a customer engages in disrespectful behavior. Over the years, we’ve seen too many growers face devastating challenges because of impatient or unfair actions, like airing complaints publicly on social media before giving the business a chance to address them.
Here’s the deal: If customer service matters are taken public before we’ve had a chance to help, we may choose to walk away and void guarantees. Likewise, if we see posts that are intentionally damaging or rude behavior toward other growers in the community, we reserve the right to decline your orders altogether.
We’re all in this together, so let’s keep it kind, constructive, and focused on growing beautiful things. 🌱
Grow & Care
Grow & Care
Dahlias are tender perennials, vigorous and fast growing. Dahlia tubers must be lifted for the winter from the ground in zones 7 and lower.
Planting:
Dahlias require soil that drains freely. Clay soil should be amended. Planting in raised beds can help alleviate moisture concerns. Tuber loss due to moisture rot is the leading cause for plant loss.
Plant 6" deep. Dig hole at least twice the width of your tuber to reduce soil compaction.
Label and stake your Dahlia at planting. Tubers do not need to be watered unless you are dealing with especially dry conditions. Whatever Mother Nature provides will be enough.
Care:
When Dahlias reach 10-12", the center tip should be pinched. This will create a bushier plan and yield more blooms. Without pinching, the plant will grow one tall, thick central stalk.
Your Dahlias will bloom from mid-summer until frost. Keep spent blooms trimmed and you'll enjoy repeat blooms all season long.
