Why Castle Drive Dahlia is Pure Magic

Soft Blush with a Golden Glow:
Castle Drive is one of those dahlias that makes you stop and stare. Its soft pink blooms are kissed with warm gold at the petal tips, creating a luminous, romantic effect. With a slightly purple-toned center and delicate yellow highlights inside each petal, this bloom has a depth and dimension that’s truly breathtaking.

A Classic Beauty with History:
Hybridized by the late Roger Turrell in 1991 in the United Kingdom, Castle Drive is a formal decorative dahlia classified as a 4”-6” (BB) variety. Its elegant form and dreamy color make it a favorite for wedding work, bouquets, and anyone who loves a refined, pastel palette.

Similar to Coralie—But Not the Same:
Castle Drive and Coralie are often mistaken for each other, but here’s the difference: Castle Drive has solid, light green stems and large, floppy leaves, while Coralie has darker stems and smaller, serrated leaves. Both grow to about 4 feet tall, but Castle Drive stands out with its unique plant structure.

Plant it. Cut it. Let Castle Drive bring its soft, golden glow to your garden. 🌸✨

Welcome to the Dahlia Files

The Dahlia Files is our ever-growing library of blooms we’ve grown, loved, retired, and occasionally fired. Think of it as our not-so-secret vault: organized, categorized, and sometimes judged.

This is where we keep notes on every dahlia that’s passed through our fields—whether it’s a current favorite or a one-season wonder. These blooms aren’t for sale here (sad trombone 🎺), but you can see what is coming up or available to shop from the navigation bar, following on Instagram, and subscribing to the newsletter.
